Gordon trained as a trainer in TCI (Therapeutic Crisis Intervention) with Cornell University.
He has developed and delivered  training modules for professionals working with young people in various settings

Clinical Management

Years of experience working with teams and advising and training in management of clinical workloads.  Gordon has particular interest in the management of waiting lists while maintaining high quality services.

He developed a highly successful model of Therapeutic Initial Assessment which was modelled in a HSE Child & Adolescent Mental Service and was presented widely and successfully.

Gordon is expert in and has co-ordinated the introduction of the CAPA model (Choice and Partnership Approach)  to Child & Adolescent Mental Health Services in Ireland. CAPA has become the preferred model of clinical delivery in progressive Child & Adolescent Mental Health Services across the world.
